Lajatico
Lajatico comes on top of a hill, on the left bank Era. Its name derives from the name of Roman Larius person. Among the most interesting monuments include the Church of San Leonardo, Palazzo Pretorio, the Town Hall and the Civic Tower. Its origins are certified at around Etruscan-Roman, although the true affirmation of the village dates back to the twelfth century, when the homes developed around the castle of Pannocchieschi.
